   Detroit Cass Technical dominated Detroit Public School League rival Detroit Pershing 76-48 in boys basketball action on Friday, Jan. 14, at Cass Tech.

   Cass Tech improved to 8-1 overall. Pershing fell to 3-3 overall.

   The Technicians led 17-10 after the first quarter and 40-14 at halftime.

   The lead was 56-17 after three quarters and most of the fourth quarter was played with a running clock.

   Freshman Darius Acuff led a balanced attack with 20 points for the Technicians in a game where starters saw limited playing time.

   Devin Madison scored 11 points. Duane Wright had 10 points. Terrance Broughton added eight points. Mekhai Walker, Kenneth Robertson, and DeShaun Stigler each scored six points.

   Cass Tech travels to face Jackson on Monday, Jan. 17.
