   Detroit Western International cruised past Detroit Public School League Gold Division rival Detroit Osborn 77-53 in a boys basketball game on Friday, Jan. 28, at Western.

  Western improved to 8-3 overall and 5-0 in league play. Osborn fell to 5-6/4-2.

   Ten players scored for the Cowboys as starters saw limited action in the victory.

   Kyle Germany scored 17 points. Calvin Thompson-Marshall had nine points. Jayden Wilson, Edward Woods, Octavian Lozer, and T. Hicks each scored eight points.

   Western led 39-22 at halftime and 66-37 after three quarters.

   Western travels to Ecorse (7-1) on Friday, Feb. 4.

Detroit Cody 62, Detroit East English Village 39: Nyrie White had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Maurice Price 15 for Cody (4-1, 3-1 PSL Gold). East English is 2-6, 2-4 PSL Gold.

 

Detroit Cass Technical 73, Detroit Frederick Douglass 43: Darius Acuff had 14 points and six steals and Terrance Broughton had 10 points and six steals for Cass Tech (11-2, 6-1 PSL Blue). Douglass is 2-9, 0-5 PSL Blue.

 

Detroit Collegiate Preparatory at Northestern 70, Detroit Davis Aerospace 30: Jerome Smith scored 26 and Cartier Woods 10 for Collegiate Preparatory (7-2). Davis is 1-6.

 

Detroit Southeastern 58, Detroit Denby 50: Karon Allen had 17 points and Devin Waugh 11 for Southeastern (9-4, 3-4 Detroit PSL Blue). James Mock had 13 points for Denby (3-9, 1-6 PSL Blue).
