   Clarkston Everest Collegiate made 10 of 12 free throws in the final two minutes to hold off non-league foe Plymouth Christian Academy 60-49 in boys basketball action on Thursday, Feb. 3, in front of a packed house at Everest.

   Everest improved to 10-2 overall with the victory. Plymouth Christian fell to 7-5.

   Everest led 34-27 at halftime and 19-14 after one quarter. Plymouth Christian closed the score to 50-47 with two minutes left before Everest went on a 10-2 run to close the game.

   Senior Joey Thibodeau led the Mountaineers with 25 points. Senior Lucas Cross finished with 14 points and junior Luke Walker scored eight points.

   Junior Jordan Scott led the Eagles with 23 points.

   Everest hosts Catholic High School League Intersectional 2 Division rival Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett on Tuesday, Feb. 8. Everest is 4-0 in league play and Liggett is 4-1.
