    Division 3 No. 8-ranked Detroit Loyola rallied to beat Catholic High School League AA Division rival Dearborn Divine Child 63-60 on Friday, Feb. 11, at Loyola. It was Loyola’s eighth straight victory after opening the season 3-4.

   Divine Child jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead and led 18-10 after one quarter.

   Loyola turned up the defensive pressure in the second quarter to close the gap to trail 29-27 at halftime.

   Divine Child maintained a two-point lead (47-45) after three quarters.

   Dashawn Martin scored 21 points, including the game-winning three-pointer with eight seconds left, for the Bulldogs.

   Jotham Nweke scored 15 points and Darek Anderson had 13 points in the victory.

   Loyola improved to 11-4 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the CHSL. Divine Child fell to 10-7/3-3.

   Loyola travels to Detroit Country Day (9-3) on Tuesday, Feb. 15, before beginning the CHSL playoffs on Saturday, Feb. 19.
