University of Detroit Jesuit opened the new year with a convincing 57-32 victory over Bloomfield Hills on Friday, Jan. 3, at Jesuit.

   Jesuit led 23-13 at halftime and pulled away in the second half.

   Freshman Sonny Wilson led Jesuit with 15 points. senior JonMarcus Roland and junior Charles Turner both added 12 points against

Bloomfield Hills.

   The Cubs improved to 3-2 on the season with the victory.

   Jesuit travels to Grand Blanc on Tuesday, Jan. 7, for a 7:30 p.m. game and begins its Catholic High School League season with a Friday, Jan. 10, game at Detroit Catholic Central.
