   Birmingham Roeper’s boys basketball team defeated Michigan Independent Athletic Conference foe Brighton Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy 62-49 at CSPA’s elementary school in Howell on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

   Stockwell led 13-10 after one quarter but Roeper used a 15-9 second-quarter run to take a 25-22 lead at halftime.

 

   Junior forward Andrew Albrecht led the Roughriders with 15 points. Sophomore guard Thai Fowler had 13 points in the win.

   The Roughriders improved to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

   Roeper hosts Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest on Friday, Jan. 24 for another MIAC game.
